THE ADULTEROUS WOMAN

(HE KNOWS MYNAME)

JOHN 8: 1-11

INTRODUCTION.

Not adding nor substracting from the word of God but making use of the creative mind given to me by God i write this piece and I know it will bless a soul.

SCENE 1

Noises of angry  mobs, shouting and full or rage ...screaming at the top of their voices Prostitute the voices yelled. Stone her, stone her to death.

T.A.W: (fear written over all her face) she thought in her heart ...the end is here. I never saw it coming this soon. I'm done for. Is there a way out ? 

She cried out for mercy but who cared.

The crowd were filled with legalist, scribes and Pharisees. Shouting on the top of their voices. Stone her,stone her , useless woman ...how dare you committ adultery? Hopeless fool. They hurled different insults on her...she shivered as she was composing her last prayers in her mind. A voice amidst the mob sounded so familiar to her ...she wondered if she was whom she thought.

T.A.W: (She took a quick glance at the familiar voice...her face litted up in surprise) Alas! Tunde! Ha! She closed her mouth in unbelief . A quick thought fladhex through her mind: Tunde was still with me two days ago , it's true he is a husband to my friend but ever since he set his lustful eyes on me he couldn't resist my charm(beauty) and we've been in this secret affair now for the past two years now...ah Tunde how could he join the mob in an attempt to stone me.

If only I had another chance to right my wrong (a voice spoke that jolted her out of he thought)

The voice: Let's take her to Jesus and let's hear what he will say.

Other Pharisees: it's true let's go they chorused.(on getting to where Jesus was one of them spoke.) This woman was caught in the very act of adultery and the Law says she should be stoned to death . What do you have to say?

JESUS:(Bent down, behaved as if he didn't see or hear them). These thought crossed the mind of Jesus( The one whom I will give my life for, am no accuser of persons , I don't kill or murder , I give life). Finally Jesus broke the silence and said to the angry mob: YE WITHOUT SIN , CAST THE FIRST STONE....

The mob:( their limbs became weak as this word hit them as like rock , different evil and sinful acts they've been involved in flashed through their minds... the place was very silent one could hear a needle drop. A voice finally spoke amidst the mob saying : I thought as much this man is too smart , you can't fix him.

The first leg moved(guess who it was...yeah it was Tunde ...the mob finally disappeared and it was remaining Jesus and the adulterous woman.

JESUS: where are thine accusers ?

T.A.W: They've all gone she said trembling.

JESUS: (smiles at her and called her by her name) OMODUNNI..

T.A.W: ( she gasps as she looked up in surprise....asking you know my name?

JESUS: (smiles) I knew you before your mother concieved you.

T.A.W: Looking more confused and excited....Ehn...

JESUS: You accusers could not condemn you neither do I ...Go and sin no more 

T.A.W: She broke down in tears saying: He knows my name...He knows my name...and for the first time in her life she said her first sincere prayers.

HER PRAYERS

Death stared me at the face

Grave had it's mouth opened for me.

Fear encapsulated me .

Just when I was about to say my last prayers I say my first and sincere prayers

Thank you my savior for saving me.

Thank you for knowing me.

Thank you for another chance.

To you reader....

Your case might not be as terrible as the adulterous woman or it could even be worst don't despair, don't write yourself off rather go the one that Knew you before you gained cognizance of yourself.

JESUS LOVES YOU... 

Matthew 11:28...come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.
